The Synergy Difference | Your Construction Company in Edmonton

Construction Company in Edmonton

We are your construction company in Edmonton, Alberta with decades of experience in commercial, institutional, industrial, recreational and residential construction.

Over the years we have built an exceptional team of construction professionals who are passionate about building, and who are committed to doing what is right. We not only build structures; we build people. Our culture is one of teamwork, growth and respect, and we welcome enquiries from people who are looking for a rewarding environment.

Recently our staff participated in a third-party "Employee Engagement Survey" conducted by a national organization, and the results show that our team members believe strongly in the goals of the company.  When asked whether the company cares about the health and safety of workers, 100% responded favourably.  Results were the same when asked whether Synergy offers the tools and resources to support a healthy lifestyle, whether employees were treated with dignity and respect, and whether immediate managers gave recognition for a job well done.  All agreed that they would recommend Synergy as a good place to work, and that they were willing to put in a great deal of extra effort to help the organization succeed.  That's teamwork.

For six years, Synergy has received the “George Durocher Employer of Excellence Award” from the Merit Contractors Association. More than any other recognition, this is an honour because nominations come exclusively from the team. Also in 2011, Synergy was awarded the “Willard Kirkpatrick Training Award”, which recognizes our commitment to a culture of training and is based on employee nominations.

Participants in our summer internship program have the opportunity to contribute to all areas of the organization and gain valuable experience in safety, estimating, managing projects, business development and project administration. Open to students who have are returning to school in fall, internship positions are paid opportunities to work at the Synergy Head Office from May – August each year.

"I feel I'm going back to school better equipped and with a better understanding of the construction business. I understand how the project manager controls the budget and works with everyone involved in the project, and I've seen the negotiations first-hand. I can walk onto a site and understand why safety is so important and see how things need to be done."

"This is a really good team environment. I've learned so much and people let me do things myself; to figure things out on my own – with their backup.  I feel I'm going back to school with an edge. I've been taught so much here."
