Dennis Mozak

Founder & CEO, Synergy Group of Companies

As a leader in the community, Dennis Mozak has been involved in the construction industry for more than 30 years. Dennis started Synergy Projects in 1996 with the main objective of building a flexible, forward thinking, client focused company. His ability to think outside the box and desire to provide complete building solutions, ultimately led to the start of the Synergy Group of Companies.

As our Founder and CEO, Dennis is responsible for the overall vision of the Synergy Group. He actively provides mentorship and guidance to the executive team and ensures the group’s culture remains true to its roots. He continues to be driven by a deep passion to bring construction into the future.

Tim Varughese
President, Synergy Group of Companies

Tim leads the organization's strategic planning and is an integral driver in Synergy’s growth and diversification. Tim has developed a passion to grow an interdependent, diversified and construction focused organization that will help bring construction into the future.

As President, Tim is responsible for all aspects of the Synergy Group’s operations, corporate management and investments. He leads the organization's strategic planning and has been integral in Synergy’s growth and diversification over the past 3 years. Tim also leads the Synergy Group’s Executive Team – working to implement the Group’s vision across all of its businesses.

Rob McGrath
President, Synergy Projects

Rob brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and passion to the Synergy Projects team. As President, Rob is responsible for the overall operations of the flagship commercial construction business, leading the estimating, project development and operations team.

Rob is a professional engineer, graduating from the University of Ottawa. He spent the first 16 years of his career in various project roles including field engineering, estimating, and project management on commercial projects throughout the country.

Barry Robertson

Senior Vice President, Synergy Group of Companies

With over 35 years of experience in Construction Management, Design Build and more traditional construction services, Barry Robertson leverages his experience to ensure the Synergy Group can execute on expansion, growth and other key project initiatives. Barry is also the company’s resident expert on constructability and assists the team to ensure projects across the group are delivered on time and on budget.

Kevin Mackoway

Pre-Construction Manager, Synergy Projects

Kevin has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, with 19 of those years at Synergy Projects. Kevin’s background is a thorough progression in construction, starting in the field as a journeyman carpenter, then project superintendent, project manager/estimator and now the leader of our reliable pre-construction services. Kevin’s extensive knowledge of trade practices, materials and systems makes him invaluable to value engineering and constructability exercises.

Rod Danko

Manager, Project Development, Synergy Projects

Rod has over 22 years of experience in project management and construction management services. He has worked on numerous commercial development projects and has worked closely with clients and project stakeholders through the various development phases to establish key project outcomes, and to ensure that each of his projects meet and exceed their objectives.
