An Iconic Building Reimagined: Transforming 103 Street Centre
Synergy Projects provided Construction Management services for a redevelopment of 103 Street Centre (formerly Enbridge Place) in downtown Edmonton. In our role as Construction Manager, our team oversaw every aspect of this extensive 16,000 sq. ft. revitalization—from value engineering and budgeting during preconstruction to all onsite coordination and execution throughout construction. The project focused on the ground-level and second floor spaces within the building, along with a number of enhancements to the building exterior and streetscape.
This revitalization project helped transform the common area and lobby space in 103 Street Centre into a modern and inviting space, while at the same time respecting its unique history. The building's original steel structure is now a focal point, celebrating the building’s industrial heritage, with this aesthetic creating a cohesive and contemporary feel throughout the redesigned tenant lounge, multi-purpose spaces, and fitness centre. The removal of portions of the second-storey floor also allows natural light through podium skylights that flood the interior, connecting the building’s users to a stunning, dynamic two-storey space.
The 103 Street Centre Redevelopment is a great showcase of our team’s ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget, while maintaining exceptional quality. Through our team's proactive approach to problem-solving and commitment to finding innovative solutions, we were able to overcome some of the unique challenges this project presented and deliver a modern, functional space for our client and building tenants.
